I got sick of pricing bathrooms at the kitchen table, so I built a phone tool to do it. I use it on my own jobs and I want other trades to shape it. In the app there is a feedback button. Tell me what is missing and I will look at it.

Fixed-price quotes with a valid-until date, and invoices with your payment details, due date and any deposit. Your business name and scheme numbers print on the paperwork. It warns you before you send one with a missing name or a £0 line.
Job pricing for each trade
Bathroom, kitchen and heating quotes start with typical hours and prices for real products, checked October 2026. Electricians and joiners get their own job types too. Every figure can be changed.
Quick call-outs and maintenance
Price a small job in minutes. Set a first-hour price if you charge more for the first hour, watch the running total, then send the quote or invoice from the same screen. General jobs and painting are in there too.
Materials list for your merchant
A tidy list of what to order, ready to copy into a message. Type your own price once and it is kept in your Price Book on every phone you sign in on. Buy from anyone.
Landlord property checks (Scotland)
Step-by-step guides and write-up reports with photos for Scottish private lets: Legionella, smoke alarms, CO alarms, and damp and mould. It does not do EICRs or gas safety records. Those stay with a registered electrician or Gas Safe engineer.
Your own rates and prices
Set your hourly rate, VAT, deposit and terms. Track each job as Quoted, Accepted, Done, Invoiced or Paid, and see which invoices are still out.

Do I need a card to start?
No. You do not need a card, and you can start without an account. Make a free account with your email when you want your jobs saved to your login. Everything is free until payments open, planned for the start of February 2027. I will email you at least 14 days before free access ends.
What happens when the free access ends?
Until free access ends you do not need an account to make and send PDFs, and I will ask if you want to make a free one after your first and third send. Once free access ends, without an account you can still work out a quote and copy it, but making and sending a PDF needs a free account. Anyone who creates an account after free access ends gets a 7-day full trial. If you have an account and have not subscribed, you can still sign in and open, copy and print every job you made. To save new jobs you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.
Do the prices come out exactly right?
No tool can know your local prices, your merchant or how you work. PriceBench gives you a sound starting point from typical hours and typical UK trade-counter prices, and every figure can be changed. The prices you type, scan or import are the ones it uses next time. You are responsible for checking a quote before you send it.
Why not a spreadsheet or a big job app?
PriceBench starts with the job: it works out typical hours and materials for a bathroom, heating or painting job, so you are not starting from a blank sheet. No per-user setup, no long contract, £15 a month.
Which trades is it for?
Made for plumbers and bathroom fitters. Gas engineers, electricians, joiners and painters can use it too: every trade gets Maintenance, Quotes and Invoices, a Price Book and My Jobs, with its own job types plus a General job for anything else.
Are the landlord checks legal certificates?
No. They are guides and visit reports for Scottish private rented homes. It does not do EICRs or gas safety records: gas safety records must be done by a Gas Safe engineer, and electrical reports (EICR) by a qualified electrician. Rules change, so confirm against current official guidance.
Can I use my own materials supplier?
Yes. Starting prices come from a typical UK trade-counter list, but every price can be changed. Order lists can be split by supplier, so it does not matter whether you buy from a trade counter, a local merchant or online.
Does it work for VAT registered firms?
Yes. Switch VAT on in Settings, add your VAT number, and say whether your material prices already include VAT. If you are not VAT registered, leave it off.
Who can see my jobs?
Only you, through your own login, and anyone you give a share code to. A share code lets another trade see the job name and send their part back to you. I can only access stored data to fix a problem. Read the privacy page for the detail.
Does it work offline?
Open the app while you have signal. After that you can keep working with no signal and your work stays on the phone, but it will not save to your account until you are back online. It cannot open for the first time with no signal.
